If you have read it, who has found a helpful way to go from the E/S quadrants to the B/I quadrant? What is your method?

Cash flow from operations = Net Income +/- Non cash exp +/- Changes in Working capital
Now the Net Income after Interest, it means the CFO includes interest

Do “acquisition costs” and ” patent costs” count as capital expenditures? Also, would the purchase and sale of marketable securities (listed in the investing section of the cash flow statement) be fixed assets, and therefore included in the capital expenditure calculation?
Is on a cash flow statement spreadsheet this number adds to the bottom line cash on hand instead of reducing it. i have a section for loan interest under the expense catigory.
